Frequently asked questions
It says "Can't see anyone here"
Faces that are very small, dark, turned sideways or mostly covered by masks or sunglasses may not be found. Try a brighter photo where faces look toward the camera.
How many people can take part?
At least 2 and up to 20. If a photo has more than 20 faces, only the 20 largest take part.
Something that isn't a face was marked, or someone is missing
On the participants screen, tap a face marker to leave that person out or bring them back. People whose faces weren't found can't be added.
Can I pick more than one person?
With 3 or more participants, use the − and + buttons next to the pick button to choose how many to pick. You can pick up to 3 at once, and at least one person is always left out.
What does "…had better odds" on the result screen mean?
Each round, a rule such as "big smiles" or "closed eyes" is chosen at random, and people who match it get better odds. It only raises the odds, so anyone can still be picked. Some rounds are fully random with no rule.
Are my photos sent to a server?
No. Photos and face information are processed only on your device and are never sent anywhere. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I use photos with my friends in them?
Picks happen only on your device, so photos never leave it. Before you save or share a result image, though, please ask the people in it. You are responsible for the portrait rights of other people in the photos you use.
I can't choose or save photos
Photo access may be turned off. On iPhone, go to Settings → Pickkk → Photos. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Pickkk → Permissions and allow photo access. Taking a photo also needs camera access.
How do I change the language?
The app starts in Korean or English to match your device. To change it, tap About (top right of the home screen) → Language.
What usage data is sent?
How you use the app, such as what you tap and the number of people found, is sent to Google Analytics. Photos, face information, names and contact details are never sent. It cannot be turned off separately in the app. See section 4-3 of the privacy policy for details.
An "Update required" screen appears
That version is no longer supported. Update Pickkk from the App Store or Google Play.
